This site was created using content management software (Article Manager), but there are other ways of creating a site. The advantage to Article Manager, however, is that once it's set up, folks who don't have knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver and pixels and all that nice stuff can still publish articles. All that's need is internet access and a password. Articles can be published from anywhere --- from home, the office, or an internet cafe.
As I learned, be sure you pick a host company that won't faint when it receives the solicitors' letter. Initially I picked a host that took this site off the internet within minutes of receiving a letter from Coutts or its represntatives. (I've asked for a copy of the letter several times, but have never received it.) I moved the site over to Parcom because the owner, a guy named Crazy Dave, promised me he'd only take the site down if he received a court order. And you've got to trust someone named Crazy Dave.

I have access to inexpensive stock photographs (all pictures on this site are licensed) and to cartoonists who can do cost-effective drawings.
If you have a grievance with a company and want to create your own "consumer commentary" website, please send me a message. The site would need to be factual, and I would recommend against using the Company's logo or trademarked items.
This is certainly not for the faint of heart. I've had a wry smile when someone (most recently Orange, the cell phone people) have given me what I felt was lousy service --- and I've thought, "time for another website." I even checked --- someone already owns the www.orangesucks.com domain. But I got over it, and moved to another cell phone company.
